Baring your soul

  Hi everyone.

So I got tagged into this post by the brilliant Holly. There are Fourteen questions to answer and have answered them the best I could whilst enjoying my break at work.

One. What’s your biggest fear?

It’s a combination of failure and death. Not so much dying, but leaving the world with little accomplishment.

Two. What’s your happiest memory?

Wow. Erm, let me think. My wedding day and following honeymoon was one of the happiest, as the whole family was brought together and hasn’t happened since unfortunately. I think moving out for the first time and experiencing real freedom.

Three. What’s your five year plan?

To stay alive. To be happy and have a healthy family. To write and to read a lot. I am hoping to have at least five novels published in five years time. To also travel more and experience more in the world.

Four. What’s your favourite non-sexual intimate contact?

Holding hands and snuggling up, the head nuzzled into my neck.

Five. What’s your dream date? Money’s no issue.

Humm…a trip to Disney World, walking around Epcot, watching the fireworks, experimenting with the food and sitting poolside with great company and a Purple Haze. I’m sure there would be more.

Six. What’s your song?

I don’t think I have song….but if I could choose…Put that thing back where it came from or so help me from Monsters Inc. it’s permanently stuck on my mind and I randomly sing it.

Seven. What’s the most amazing thing someone’s said about you?

Erm, the only thing I can think of at this current time is the best mans speech at my wedding. My sister and brother were my best persons, and my sister did the speech. It went something along the lines of that when I was young she disliked me for being an annoying and Bratish younger brother but turned into a caring and loving and decent man. I cannot confirm those allegations.

Eight. If you could have any possible superpower, what would you choose?

My superpower would be to be able to dart back into the past in little bursts and see what the world was once like and how we have evolved.

Nine. What’s your guilty pleasure film?

I have two. 27 Dresses and Made of Honor. They are just easy to watch and fun films.

Ten. What’s your best physical feature?

I get told its my eyes.

Eleven. If you could be remembered for one personality trait, what would you want that to be?

Erm, being kind, maybe?

Twelve. What are your non-writing/book related hobbies?

I enjoy walking, outdoor plays and theatre, going to the cinema, dining out, playing chess when I get chance, watching sports and visiting gardens and historic sites.

Thirteen. What does an ideal night out look like to you?

A play, a meal and a nice walk along the street or beside the sea and then ending it behind closed doors.

Fourteen. What’s the biggest risk you ever took? Did it pay off?

Starting this blog and sharing short stories…and to be determined. That overcame a huge fear and tested new ground.

If you are interested in answering these questions please do so and let me know what you have put. It’s always fun to find out more about people 🙂

It’s cool your brother and sister were your ‘best persons’, what a neat and special idea.
I like 27 Dresses too especially, since there for a while, it felt like I was gonna be able to give her a some competition :p Made of Honor is great too because, hello Patrick Dempsey😁

  4. I have the exact same fear: to die without telling all the stories I hope to share with the world. Then, I think to myself, at least I’ve left a print through my blog. Before then, my stories have been kept inside. You have achieved things already too that people will remember you for. It’s good to aspire, but don’t let that fear of dying stop you from living. Not that I think it has 🙂
That song from Monster’s Inc. is an earworm and it is now burrowed deep in both of mine ;P
Made of Honour is a great guilty pleasure because, well, Scotland!
I think your big risk of starting this blog definitely paid off! You constantly inspire and dazzle with your words 🙂
Thanks for sharing your answers. It is a true pleasure to get the chance to know you better.
