First Tear

Welcome back, friends. This post we have little build up and the rest execution. I hope you are enjoying these stories as much as I am writing them. Just a reminder that prompts are still welcome and I would love some to work on in the new year.

                                     First Tear

Rose petals flowed across the linen bedsheets and onto the laminated flooring. Scented candles illuminated the room, a hint of jasmine in the air. Two champagne glasses waited on the bedside table and an open jewellery box sat with it. Sam, on one knee, beamed holding a diamond ring. A tear ran down Jennifer’s cheek and over her smiling lips.

  1. Beautiful ๐Ÿ™‚ Definitely not the heartache I was anticipating. I love how you keep defying expectations and I love your attention to detail. It’s amazing how you can accomplish so much in 60 words ๐Ÿ™‚ Bring on the next!
